FAQ
A: Alaska Volleyball Camps are located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus in the Patty Center Gym. Registration for the camps will be in the foyer of the Patty Center Gym.
Q: What time do camps start?
A: Camps start at 9am and end at 4pm. We recommend campers be at the Patty Center at least 15 minutes in advance so they will be ready for the start of the camp. Parents please be prompt in picking up your camper as well.
A: A pair of shorts, t-shirt, socks, a good pair of court shoes (broken in) and knee pads for each day of camp. There are water fountains accessible, but please bring a water bottle.
Q: Are lunches included at camp? A: Lunches are not provided but campers may bring a lunch. We break for lunch daily at noon and parents may pick their child up during this time. We ask to have the campers back by 12:45pm to ensure we can start the afternoon session by 1pm. Campers please be sure to have a healthy breakfast before you come to camp each day so you will have enough energy to play.
A: Yes, we do staff a certified athletic trainer at each session and is on call at all times throughout camp.
A: We encourage you to sign up for camps as early as possible. Space is limited and to ensure a spot in camp we recommend early registration. We do offer a price break if registration occurs before May 16.
Q: How do I register for Alaska Volleyball Camps?
A: Click on the "Register Now" tab located at the top of this page. Click on 'Download Registration Papers' and it will prompt you to download the documents. Adobe Reader is required to download and view files. The registration documents are auto-fill, meaning you can type out the answers using your keyboard. Once you have completed the registration; print off the papers and make sure proper signatures are provided. Complete payment (cash or check) is required to register for camps. Completed registration papers and money can be dropped off at the Alaska Volleyball office located in the Patty Center office 219 or you can mail it to: Alaska Volleyball Camps, 211 Patty Center, Fairbanks, AK 99775.
Q: Can I pay for Alaska Volleyball Camps using a credit card?
A: Unfortunately we do not accept credit cards, but you can pay in cash or by check. If writing a check please make it out to Alaska Volleyball Camps.
Q: What if I'm from out of town? Do you provide housing for camp and is it included in the price listed?
A: We welcome anyone from out of town, but unfortunately we do not provide any on-campus housing options. The camp price does not include housing or food costs. University of Alaska Fairbanks conference services rents very affordable rooms by the night, but a minor cannot stay in the dormitories without an adult present.
